Abstract

The Free Nutritional Meal Program (MBG) requires a supply of beef in the appropriate amount, but the weight recorded by suppliers during delivery can differ from the actual weight when reweighed at the receiving kitchen. Transaction receipts have so far only served as proof of recording and have not been analyzed to determine the level, frequency, and accumulation of weight discrepancies. This study aims to analyze the discrepancy between the shipped and received weight of beef and apply Business Intelligence (BI) to generate discrepancy indicators that can be used as material for distribution evaluation. The study uses a descriptive quantitative approach based on BI with the stages of data preparation, processing, and analysis. The data used are simulated data, not actual transaction data, in the form of 50 randomly generated delivery transactions to nine SPPG kitchens with a delivery weight of 50–79 kg. Discrepancies are calculated as the difference between the received and delivered weights, then expressed as a percentage of the delivered weight. Of the total delivered weight of 3,248 kg, the received weight reached 3,289.19 kg, resulting in a total discrepancy of 41.19 kg (1.27%), with an average of 0.82 kg per transaction. A total of 41 transactions (82%) showed a greater weight received than the weight sent, while nine transactions (18%) were smaller, with a difference ranging from -1.10 to +2.31 kg. The average difference per kitchen ranged between 0.325 kg (SPPG 2) and 1.40 kg (SPPG 6). The proposed BI framework is able to calculate and summarize weight discrepancies per transaction and per kitchen. Because the results are obtained from simulated data, these findings only demonstrate analytical capabilities and do not reflect actual distribution conditions. Further research needs to validate this framework with actual transaction data and develop an interactive dashboard.
