Research Technological developments in the Industry 4.0 era have brought significant changes in various fields, including informatics. The current dynamics of informatics research are characterized by the increasing integration of technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, the Internet of Things (IoT), and cloud computing in various sectors of life. This study aims to examine the developments, trends, and challenges in informatics research in the Industry 4.0 era. The method used is a literature study of various scientific journals and related publications. The results of the study indicate that informatics research plays a vital role in supporting digital transformation, increasing system efficiency, and encouraging innovation in various sectors, such as education, health, and industry. However, there are challenges that must be faced, such as data security, privacy, and human resource readiness. Therefore, an appropriate strategy is needed in the development of informatics research to be able to adapt to the rapid and complex technological developments in the Industry 4.0 era.
