Abstract

Informatics research plays a strategic role in driving the development of information technology in today's digital era. This study aims to review various informatics research findings that contribute to the development of information technology, both in theory and implementation. The method used in this study is a literature review, reviewing various scientific journals, books, and relevant publications. The review results indicate that informatics research makes significant contributions in various fields, such as software development, information systems, data security, artificial intelligence (AI), and big data processing. Furthermore, informatics research plays a role in increasing the efficiency, accuracy, and speed of information processing, thus supporting more informed decision-making. Furthermore, the rapid development of information technology demands continuous innovation in informatics research to address challenges such as cybersecurity, data privacy, and complex system integration. Therefore, collaboration between academia, industry, and government is a crucial factor in developing applicable and impactful informatics research. Thus, this review confirms that informatics research is not only a theoretical basis, but also a key driver in creating innovative, adaptive, and sustainable information technology in the future.
