Integration of Artificial Intelligence and Business Intelligence in the Era of Digital Transformation: Opportunities and Challenges

The rapid development of digital technology is driving organizations to utilize data as a strategic asset to support decision-making. In this context, the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Business Intelligence (BI) is one approach widely implemented to increase the effectiveness of data analysis and produce more accurate, faster, and valuable information for organizations. AI enables systems to perform predictions, recognize patterns, and automate analysis processes, while BI plays a role in collecting, managing, and presenting data into information that is easily understood by decision-makers. This study aims to examine the opportunities and challenges of AI and BI integration in the era of digital transformation through a literature review method. Data were obtained from various scientific journals, proceedings, and academic publications relevant to the research topic. The study results indicate that AI and BI integration can improve the quality of data-driven decision-making, accelerate the analysis process, increase operational efficiency, and support the formulation of more appropriate business strategies. However, its implementation still faces various challenges, such as suboptimal data quality, limited human resources competent in AI and BI, high technology investment costs, and issues of data security and privacy. Therefore, an appropriate implementation strategy, adequate technological infrastructure support, and increased human resource competency are required so that the integration of AI and BI can provide maximum benefits for organizations in facing the dynamics of digital transformation.
