Abstract

In the era of technological disruption, informatics research methodology is undergoing a fundamental transformation driven by advances in artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and increasingly stringent data integrity demands. This study aims to map the evolution of informatics research methodology over the past decade and formulate strategies for researchers to penetrate Scopus Q1 and Web of Science (WoS) indexed journals. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with the PRISMA protocol, this study analyzed 150 selected articles focusing on methodological innovations, including the use of LLM-based autonomous agents in the scientific process and the integration of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) in field experiments. The review results show a significant shift from traditional computational methods to data-driven and hybrid approaches. Furthermore, it was found that global publication standards now emphasize the reproducibility of codification and transparency of algorithms. This study produced a publication strategy framework that includes novelty optimization through precise state-of-the-art mapping and international research collaboration. The implications of this study provide practical guidance for informatics academics and practitioners in improving the quality of research and the competitiveness of publications at the international level.
