Web-Based Cashier Application Development with Refill Water Stock Monitoring and Gallon Sales Features at the Sumber Urip Store

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) contribute significantly to economic growth at the regional level, including in Tanjung Village. One type of business that is growing rapidly in this area is the provision of refillable water and the sale of household necessities through the Sumber Urip Store. However, the sales data input and inventory management processes, which are still carried out using traditional methods, cause various obstacles, such as difficulties in calculating prices, delays in updating stock data, and inefficient sales administration processes. These conditions have an impact on the operational effectiveness of the store and slow down the decision-making process. This research focuses on developing a web-based cashier application that serves to ease the manual cashier tasks at Sumber Urip store in managing sales transactions and monitoring refillable water and gallon stock more efficiently and structurally. The methods applied include literature study, direct observation in the field, and interviews. System requirements analysis, design using UML and ERD, and implementation utilizing PHP played a role in the development of the application logic, while MySQL managed data storage and management. The results of the study show that the developed system has the main features of user login, product data management, sales transactions, direct monitoring of refillable water and gallon stock, and sales recording by the admin. This implementation has the potential to increase the effectiveness of transaction processes, minimize recording errors, and assist store owners in making data-driven decisions. Thus, the web-based cashier application at Toko Sumber Urip can be an effective digital solution to replace manual systems and increase productivity and accuracy in sales data management.
