Screening for Plagiarism Policy

To check for possible plagiarism, the journal uses the Turnitin application.
The article must have less than 20% similarity to other sources.

Types of Plagiarism include:

  • Word-for-word Plagiarism: The author uses exact words from other authors without citing the source.

  • Plagiarism of Ideas: The author uses someone else’s ideas without giving proper credit or explicitly mentioning the source.

  • Authorship Plagiarism: The author claims authorship of work created by others.

  • Self-Plagiarism: This occurs when authors publish the same article in more than one publication or recycle their own previous work. A meaningful change must be made to the new work so that the old work constitutes only a small part of the new paper. This ensures readers receive new and original content rather than a repeat of old material.
