Implementasi dan Analisis Kinerja Jaringan 5G dalam Meminimalkan Latensi pada Game Multiplayer Real-Time

Abstrak

Perkembangan industri game multiplayer real-time menuntut infrastruktur jaringan yang mampu menyediakan latensi rendah, throughput tinggi, dan stabilitas koneksi yang konsisten. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan dan menganalisis kinerja jaringan generasi kelima (5G) dalam meminimalkan latensi pada lingkungan game multiplayer real-time. Pendekatan yang digunakan meliputi pengujian jaringan 5G dengan memanfaatkan teknologi Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency Communication (URLLC), Mobile Edge Computing (MEC), dan network slicing untuk mengalokasikan sumber daya jaringan secara optimal bagi trafik game. Pengujian dilakukan pada skenario game first-person shooter (FPS) dan massively multiplayer online (MMO) dengan mengukur parameter Quality of Service (QoS) meliputi latensi, jitter, packet loss, dan throughput. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa jaringan 5G dengan konfigurasi MEC mampu mereduksi latensi rata-rata hingga 8,3 ms dibandingkan jaringan 4G LTE yang mencapai 45,7 ms. Penerapan network slicing berhasil mengisolasi trafik game dari trafik umum sehingga packet loss turun menjadi 0,12% dan jitter terjaga di bawah 2 ms. Analisis kinerja membuktikan bahwa implementasi 5G dengan arsitektur MEC dan URLLC secara signifikan meningkatkan pengalaman bermain (Quality of Experience/QoE) dan menjadi solusi infrastruktur yang viable untuk mendukung ekosistem game multiplayer real-time generasi berikutnya
